Harry Potter Doll Robe (half) Tutorial

For Christmas, a mom from dance said that her daughter wanted a Harry Potter robe for her American Girl Doll.  She said that there was no pattern for this, so she asked me to make one instead!  I thought that I would be able to find some patterns to go off of but that really didn't work out.

I first bought the book All Dolled Up by Joan Hinds.  It is full of doll and matching girl patterns.  I decided I would use the long sleeve t-shirt pattern, just make it longer and add a hood.

So then I went looking for a pattern with a hood and there was none in the book.  I found a McCalls pattern in their Crafts line; number MP471.  There were three options with a hood so I knew one would work.

Dance Props

I have had to take a break from blogging for a while because I had to have surgery to fix my deviated septum. This will basically help me breathe better! I have posts I've been wanting to write about but it's been pretty crazy lately!

With dance competitions coming up it is a crazy time at the studio! We have been trying to get all of our dances ready and also all of the props built! One project I have been working on (prior to my surgery) is two platforms with stairs behind them. Here are some of the photos of the props being built! We still need to add a glittery top coat to make them sparkle on stage!

Here are the platforms being built!

My 2011 in Review

2011 was definitely a great year and I hope that 2012 is just as fun!  It was also a busy and creative year.  Here are just some of the crafts I made in 2011!

Hair Bows
In 2011, I began selling hair bows at my dance studio.  Here are just some of the many that I created.
