Christmas Hair Bows Day 5

Fabric Headband Tutorial

These headbands are made with the extra materials from my Fabric Tutu Tutorial.  They are perfect to wear with the tutus!

Supplies Needed:
3"x20" Strip of fabric
6" elastic
Sewing Machine
Serger Machine (optional)
Safety Pin (optional)

Step 1: Fold the fabric in half and in it.

Step 2: Sew the fabric as close to the edge as possible.  You are going to flip this fabric inside out, so do not sew the small edges.

Step 3: If you have a serger machine, go ahead and serge the edges.

Step 4: Flip the fabric inside out.  I used a safety pin to help do this.

Step 5: Iron the fabric down.  Fold in the edges to create a clean line.

Step 6: Pin the elastic inside the fabric.

Step 7: Sew the edge of the fabric catching the elastic.

Step 8: Repeat this for the other edge and you are finished!
